Newborn Baby & Toddler Portrait sessions are probably one of the most special sessions we offer. After only a few days, these become unrepeatable. As Family Photographers and as parents ourselves, we know how just what a wonderful time this is and celebrating it with a beautiful newborn baby & toddler portrait preserves those feelings forever.
We have over 15 years of experience working with babies & children in all their varied beauty. We are great each & every newborn baby & toddler as well as young children and siblings. We give them time to settle into our studio environment, we spend time meeting them, getting to know them a little, and getting them to feel safe and comfortable around us – before we even start. We know that once a baby is relaxed and calm we can start to work our magic

The most important step. This is where we discover all about your baby/toddler. We learn all about your love for them, what it is that melts your heart and what you see in their eyes. We also explore the family and what you hold most dear in your life, who you chose to share this amazing photographic experience with and what will make everything so meaningful.
It’s a chance for you to pause, to stop and think, to remember who you love, what you love and why.
This simple and yet moving part of our experience allows you to see and reconnect with even the small things in your life, little details, simple gestures that often go unseen, or even merely taken for granted.
Through our discovery calls we learn what is most special and what connects you all.
Your discovery experience is then brought into your photography session. This is where we get to photograph what you love and treasure most in life.
This powerful photography captures all of the details, the touch, the expression and the bond between your baby/toddler, you and your loved ones.
There’s an energy to our photography sessions, they are enjoyable and fun, natural and easy for everyone. You interact with your loved ones rather than awkwardly pose for the camera. It’s just you really being yourselves – but together and connected.

Following on from your reveal is your design consultation, where we will assist you in the selection and customisation of your Artwork that will bring life to your home.
We work together to create incredible, bespoke artwork that really will become heirlooms for current and future generations to enjoy, a legacy to love
Once designed, your portraits and artwork will be edited and retouched before being sent in to production in order to come to life.
Our aim is to have your artwork ready for collection within 4-6 weeks of your order. Your finished wall art will be ready to display within your home where it will immediately exude all that love and emotion held within – and yes we would love to see a photo!
Over the years we have been asked so many questions by people considering or planning a portrait session with their baby or toddler, here are some of the frequent ones, however, do get in touch if you have different questions of your own.
If you want that ultimate newborn curled up shot, then you have up to about approx 10 days old. From that point babies cannot achieve that position. There are however, still shots we can do. That said, a lot of parents wait if they miss the 10 day window – maybe until baby is smiling, even longer till giggling and playing, some wait for baby to crawl, others want the cake smash on the first birthday. There is no right answer here, what can be achieved very much depends on your baby at that time.
If a child is teething then our suggestion is to rebook. We need happy bubbly babies, not sore, poorly, uncomfortable little ones who just want to chew their fingers or cry. We think it is fairer and much more successful to simply rebook for another day as opposed to fighting this losing battle.
For newborn babies, we ask that you bring a few changes of clothing for baby, simple baby grows are fine – a lot of photos baby will be undressed so this just gives us a few options. It’s best to bring a changing mat and plenty of changing items. Its good to bring some personal accessories that we can use in the shots – babies in hats/beanies look amazing, feel free to bring a favourite teddy and even something that means something to you as parents – maybe a hobby/interest. (We’ve had firemen helmets, army badges, and many many more)
For older babies/toddlers you can be a bit more creative with outfits and colour. Hats, fairy wings, teddies, and toys are all great accessories that can add to some images. If baby can’t sit unaided, then consider bringing a bumbo and maybe a blanket that we can conceal it with.
A lot of our baby photography involves mums and dads, so it is important to consider what you are going to wear. Simple muted tones work best, avoid bright colours, bold patterns, stripes, florals, etc – these take away the focus from baby. Try and co-ordinate but don’t match. Bring a couple of outfits so we have variance and a backup in case we have any baby “accidents”.
